How to Use Cold Wax
Prepare your skin by exfoliating two days in advance using a loofah or body scrub. Cold wax strips will adhere to the surface of the skin much easier if it’s smooth. After you’ve dried your skin, firmly press the strip down in the direction of hair growth. Next, make sure the skin above the strip is taut before pulling the strip off quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Repeat until you’ve removed all of the hair. Clean off any excess wax with a wipe, or soap and water.
Benefits of Cold Waxing
Cold waxing can be a much more comfortable way to wax, especially during warm weather. Wax strips are quick to apply, stick easily to the tiniest of hairs and can be removed after just a few seconds. This method is potentially less painful than warm waxing, as you don’t run the risk of burning your skin with overheated wax. It’s also a less messy option than warm waxing, as the strips can be disposed of easily. Cold waxing is also perfect for smaller hard-to-reach contours of the body such as the bikini line. The strip pieces can be cut to fit a specific area of the body and the same strip can be reused repeatedly until it loses its grip.
